Southern Wiregrass or as it is simply known, Wiregrass, Aristida stricta is a perennial grass growing to 2'-3' tall and 3' wide. It prefers full to part sun and dry, well-drained soils. It is a well-behaved clumping grass that is perfect as a border plant or in group plantings. The seeds are used by birds and other wildlife.
