Carya floridana is a small deciduous tree that reaches 15-30 ft high and 10-20 feet wide. Small flowers bloom in spring with fruit ripening in fall. Plant only where the roots will not be disturbed. in part shade to full sun and dry to very dry soil. It is a larval host for Luna moths.
