Great shade tree. False Mastic, Sideroxylon foetidissimum, is an evergreen tree with dense crown. 30-60 feet high and 30-50 feet wide. Plant in average to dry soil and part to full sun. Small yellow flowers are followed by orange fruit. Attracts pollinators and birds! It is cold sensitive so recommended for zone 10a/b, which now includes Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
