Aztec Grass, Ophiopogon intermedius, is a clumping plant with strap leaves and resembles liriopes, but has a white and light green variegated leaf. It has a spike of small white flowers and the flowering is not as showy as Liriope, but the variegated foliage makes it popular for contast against darker green plants as a massing or edging plant. Like Liriope, it prefers shade to partial shade, but under improved soil conditions and adequate moisture, it can adapt to nearly full sun.
