The optimum amounts and ratios in fertilizers of the seven frequently deficient elements for landscape palms in Florida have been experimentally determined to be 8N-0 or 2P₂O₅-12K₂O-4Mg plus about 2% Mn and Fe (0.1-0.2% if chelated), and 0.15% of B, Cu, and Zn (hereafter referred to as 8-2-12-4Mg).
