A perennial sedge that grows on the edges of brackish or salt marshes. It can thrive in low nutrient soils and full sun. They can form wreath-like clusters. The infuorescence have dense clusters of spikelets at the end of stalks. These plants can add interest to a wildflower garden or be used in place of small border grasses.
