Solidago canadensis is a native goldenrod found more commonly in north Florida but also in parts of central Florida. It reaches 3-4 ft high and blooms in late fall. Its spreads by rhizomes so be sure to plant it where it can spread. You can also use it in containers to prevent it from taking over the garden. Plant in full sun and moist soil.

Don't confuse this pollinator favorite with the allergy-causing ragweed!
