Paul Meyers, CHP
Landscape Architect
From a young age, Paul’s fascination with design and architecture set him on a lifelong creative journey. As a young teenager, he began building intricate houses and structures with his collection of Lego sets. In his quest to dive deeper into the world of design, he regularly acquired home architectural blueprint magazines, immersing himself in the intricate layouts of various homes for countless hours. This early passion eventually led him to embark on his path to become an architect.
Paul’s educational journey took him to Penn State University, where he initially aspired to become an architect. However, an unexpected encounter occurred during his first semester when he enrolled in the ‘History of Landscape Architecture’ course. It was here that his profound fondness for shaping outdoor spaces came to light. In 1997, Paul proudly graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree and promptly set his sights on Washington, DC, ready to make his mark as a budding landscape designer.
His professional journey took flight as he honed his skills in two small residential landscape design firms within the DC area. Eager to forge his path, Paul took the bold step of establishing his very own Landscape Design firm. As an independent designer and project manager, he collaborated with numerous nurseries and design firms in the region. After nearly two decades in the bustling DC Metro area, Paul yearned for a change. During a visit to friends in the St. Pete/Tampa area in 2016, he felt an unmistakable connection and made the decision to call Florida his new home.
Paul boasts an impressive portfolio, having been a former member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and more recently earning the distinction of becoming an FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional. His passion for crafting residential spaces of all sizes is undeniable, with a special focus on enhancing the visual appeal of homes and extending living spaces into the great outdoors. Paul’s wealth of experience spans all facets of landscape design and installation, including drafting, CADD design, project management, crew supervision, and horticultural expertise. His true passion projects include revitalizing the landscape of newly renovated or newly built homes, as well as transforming backyards into beautiful private outdoor gardens with the use of native & Florida Friendly plants.
When not immersed in the world of design, Paul enjoys the serene moments spent puttering in his own garden, lounging by the pool, or indulging in his favorite TV shows. On weekends, you’ll often find this self-proclaimed foodie exploring the diverse culinary scene of St. Pete and Tampa, seeking out the newest and most exceptional dining experiences.
